Being a child of the seventies, its only natural that I loved my vinyl records, and still have kept my best and most loved old ones!
Do I love music? Just give me some old favourite of mine from the old days, turn up the volume, and magic/ creative things start to happen, like some art or cooking, even housework, and it makes it all the more fun singing and dancing along!
I really loved this challenge - and it inspired me to make this piece this afternoon.
Yes, I did have an old Isaac Hayes humming along in the background.

Krissie - what a super fun page! I can see the 70s influence. Groovy. After clicking for a close-up and seeing your songs I now have "You Sexy Thing" in my head. Might need to watch The Full Monty today. Thanks for coming to play and getting us kicked off on this crusade. Rock on girl!
ReplyDeleteI love your collage and your songs! Great colors and images.
ReplyDeleteLOVE this! You've got many of my favorite oldies on there!
ReplyDeleteOh MAN! we must be the same age.
ReplyDelete"Just my Imagination"...I haven't heard that in a billion years, even on the 70's station. Now I have to dig it up on Itunes.....great great great choices!

ReplyDeleteOH yes, Nutbush City Limits & Dancing Queen...they were always played at our parties!
In my early teens, I was love-crazed for Donny Osmond (70's)...I loved the 80's too!

ReplyDeleteGroovy! I've always loved 60s and 70s music - I grew up listening to my parents' records and tapes and cds. Love Grows Where My Rosemary Goes is one that I always forget until I hear it again, and then I start singing along automatically - love that song!
ReplyDeleteSuper fun page!! It makes me want to dance also :)
